DHAKA, July 21, 2025 (Khondaker Abdul Motin, Editor) — A Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crashed this afternoon in Dhaka’s Uttara area, killing one person and injuring several others.
According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR), the aircraft—an F-7 BGI training jet—took off at 1:06 PM before crashing shortly after.
The plane reportedly went down on the roof of the canteen at Milestone College in Uttara, the Fire Service and Civil Defence confirmed.
One person died in the crash, and four others were injured. The injured were quickly airlifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) by a Bangladesh Air Force helicopter for medical treatment.
Emergency response teams from eight fire stations, including units from Uttara, Tongi, Pallabi, Kurmitola, Mirpur, and Purbachal, were involved in the rescue operation.
Additionally, two platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) were deployed to the scene to help with rescue efforts and maintain order in the area.
